Privacy Policy
Household Savings Check helps South African households identify recurring expenses that may be worth reviewing. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
Answers you give in the Savings Check (spend ranges, services used), your name, mobile number, email address and suburb or postal code, plus technical information such as the page you arrived from, campaign parameters and a unique reference for your check.
How we use it
To produce your personalised household snapshot, and — only where you explicitly request it — to arrange a comparison or review for a specific service category.
Consent is per category
Completing the Savings Check is not consent to be contacted about every category. Each category has its own opt-in button. When you use it, we store the exact consent wording shown, the timestamp, the category, and the traffic source of your visit. You can opt in to some categories and not others.
Who we share it with
Only the providers or partners appropriate to the specific categories you requested. We do not sell your information, and we do not share details for categories you did not opt in to.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by emailing us via the contact page. We keep records of consent for as long as required to demonstrate compliance.
No advice, no guarantees
Household Savings Check does not provide financial advice and does not guarantee savings. Any figures shown are approximate and based on the ranges you selected.
